Blue Sky vine blooms in Dec.

My blue sky vine doesn't start blooming until the beginning of December. Everyone else's seems to bloom in the summer. It has done this for several years. It is too big to cover and sadly was covered with buds when we got our first frost a couple of days ago. Is there something I can do to get it on a different bloom schedule? Hypnosis, maybe?

I have a sky vine in a pot which I bring indoors every fall, and it also blooms in late fall or early winter every year. Logee's has it listed as one of the short-day-length plant, so apparently it requires the shorter days to bloom.
