Keep recommending the Hydrangea Vine, Schizophragmae 'Moonlight', even to folk who don't want that info. My bad. It does not grow fast. Will not thrive where water stands, but may be okay if the water always drains away. These forums don't accept the size of photos I usually try to post, but will try with some photos. Not much bloom with a lot of shade.
Some sorts of Dutchman's Pipe vines may do well in shade
If you want speed, annuals are your bet, but shade inhibits bloom there, also.

Dutchman's Pipe Vine should be able to take some shade, I just added this to my garden last year. In the first year it grew about 2 feet. It's one vine single vine, with a second vine just starting to come up from the roots. It gets big though, eventually up to 30 feet. I am training mine to grow up a tree, assuming it survives the first winter. I have heard that the blooms smell like 'rotten meat' so want to pass that info along. I haven't had any blooms to confirm yet.

There are a variety of clematis that handle shade, and have beautiful flowers but they are generally not vigorous and you will wait 3 years for it to really take off. Here is a picture of Nelly Moser, a clematis that I am growing in a shaded area behind a tree. This was it after 2 years.

If it were me, I'd plant something like Nelly in the ground, and then while you are waiting for it to get established & take off, grow morning glories as annuals in a pot to have something pretty to look at.

Be careful with morning glories if you are in a warm climate, they reseed easily in some warmer areas, for me in a zone 5, I've never had one come back.
