i knew i had this pic somewhere, just had to find it...
this is all i have though, till i get new flowers in a couple of months i would guess.

But, while i am here, this vine is at a property i just bought.
its a vacant house and no one has cut grass or attended the yard in 9 years.
Just wondering if this is something i should keep ?

None of the plants in this latest post is a Passion Flower, including the pink bud at the top.

The last 2 photos are of different plants. The first looks like Morning Glory, the second like Prunus caroliniana in bud. Not a vine but a large shrub.

its a year old pic, and my memory istn that great.

as i said in the text, the last 2 pics are of stuff at a property i bought, i have no idea what they are, just wondering if it is something i should try to keep or not.

Here are my impressions regarding what Ipomoea I see posted.

This one looks to be an Ipomoea nil (Hama no Sora ?) , but sepals or fruit are not visible

Spent bloom with sepals somewhat visible but quite clearly enough , although looks closest to an Ipomoea nil

The photo appears to show 2 different vines growing in the same place because although a plant can start with cordate leaves and progress to a multi-lobed form , the progression of the leaf form is usually very gradual and not instantaneous.

The most important part of a Morning Glory plant to ascertain the botanical identity is usually the sepals at the base of the flower , the pediecel and as both structures may gradually change characteristics during development of the fruit.

Simply put, Mother Nature is bound and determined to have all her flowers reproduce.
Therefore, nothing, including the size of the container or the size of the plant will get in her way to accomplish her goal.

I have had many seedlings of various types, including MG, bloom when they are no taller than 2-4 inches at most.

If you get those seedlings into the ground or large pots, they will continue to grow and bloom for some time for you.
