Firecracker vine

I'm a newbie, though I've been lurking for quite some time. I reside in north central Mn. Would anyone have advice for purchasing seed for the cigar flower aka firecracker vine or candy corn vine? Thanks in advance.

Is this Mina lobata? Burpee had the seed in stores last year. I think the one I speak of is also called Spanish Flag.

Today while shopping in our local Target store, I found a seed display and in the assortment of seeds is Spanish Flag aka Mina lobata. It's packaged by Sean Conway and priced $2.29. I'm thrilled and looking forward to starting them indoors prior to moving them outdoors, probably latter May in N. Mn.

I bought this very seed this past weekend at Home Depot from Burpee at &1.49. They are already sprouted in flats.

Robin that seems kind of early to start them. I'm going to give this vine a try for the first time this year. I was going to start mine in april.Too late? Is this plant light sensitive? The reason why I ask is because most who have grown it say it blooms in the fall. At least thats what I've read. Thanks. filix
