Transplanting Carolina Jasmine while in bloom... Yikes!

My neighbor decided that they didn't want their three Carolina Jasmine vines and ripped them out (they were wedged about 6" between a retaining wall and fence) while the blooms were out/coming out.

I know the worst time to transplant anything is while it's in/about to be in full bloom. There were good root balls and I cut each vine back to about 6" from the ground. It's Mid March in NC and I'm wondering if they will live. Is there something I should have done different or should do now (beside the obvious wait until the plants were dormant)? I don't expect to get any blooms off it this year but will the wine begin to grow this year and if so how much do you think?
