Night Scented Tobacco

I planted some Night Scented Tobacco (Nicotiana sylvestris) seeds a couple months back, and their about 5-7 inches long. Is it supposed to be a climbing vine? Because these plants absolutely refuse to climb anything. They seem to be content sprawling all over the container they're planted in. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Abby

This is not a vining plant, but grows to be upright and sturdy . If yours has developed a weak stem, perhaps it's not getting enough sunlight.

These plants do grow very tall with nice thick upright stems, but they are NOT climbers, even so, they are well worth growing, the fragrance is amazing. I have tons of volunteers every year,I just transplant them to a suitable spot in the garden.

I've had them under my growing light for 10-16 hours a day, and I've been putting them outside when it's warm enough... could it be something else?
