Night Scented Tobacco
| | |
Posted by phantom_white Tn (ruckus1837@yahoo.com) on Wed, Mar 7, 07 at 11:15
| I planted some Night Scented Tobacco (Nicotiana sylvestris) seeds a couple months back, and their about 5-7 inches long. Is it supposed to be a climbing vine? Because these plants absolutely refuse to climb anything. They seem to be content sprawling all over the container they're planted in. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,

| This is not a vining plant, but grows to be upright and sturdy . If yours has developed a weak stem, perhaps it's not getting enough sunlight. |

| These plants do grow very tall with nice thick upright stems, but they are NOT climbers, even so, they are well worth growing, the fragrance is amazing. I have tons of volunteers every year,I just transplant them to a suitable spot in the garden. |

| I've had them under my growing light for 10-16 hours a day, and I've been putting them outside when it's warm enough... could it be something else? |
