tendrils on grapevines

Hello,

I have several grapevines that I am growing. Some were bought as bare-root, others I propagated from cuttings.

It seems like many of those that I bought are not growing tendrils.

I am wondering if a lack of tendrils is a sign of nutrient deficiency or some other issue.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

Well, I'm new to planting grapevines, and, there is a site dedicated solely to the grape vine and the making of wine. I think your question will be answered immediately here:

No offense to garden webbers. I love THIS site! Just nobody answered tgw's question for a bunch of days... The site I gave him is home for vineyards, and there are tons of experts there.
