Short climber?

I have a small "end table" -- the top is probably 6" square on a side, it has four spindly legs and is about 3' tall, made out of wood. It's not stable enough to put anything on, with a rambunctious toddler in the house, so I've decided to repurpose it and use it to train something interesting up it, outside.

Anything I can think of, though, would quickly outgrow it. I wouldn't mind if it just became a big mound of vine with no hint of the underlying table, though.

So, any suggestions on a short climber? It's lightweight and I can put it anywhere, and I have all manners of light available outside, except for "deep" shade.

Thanks!
