Don't keep it indoors. That's the worst thing you could do. If it really is too cold outside put it in a cold store space such as a garage or shed. But personally I'd plant it now. It's a hardy plant and can take planting in cold conditions. Here I'd have no hesitation planting it any time throughout the winter when the ground isn't frozen.

Also the "last frost date" warning only applies to cold sensitive plants, like annuals or tender perennials - not to hardy plants like honeysuckle. It can be planted outside as soon as your ground is workable.
