Hello,
i have a wall in my backyard that is completely exposed. So we decided to put up trellises. We went to Armstrong to pick out some viney plants. We decided on 2 Jasmines..
1. madagascar jasmine
2. carolina jasmine
We are planning on using the carolina jasmine in the sunny parts of the wall. and the madagascar jasmine in the shady parts as there are large trees taking up alot of light but provide no privacy.
We already bought them but wont be shipped to our house till Saturday. Ive been reading up on these plants. The carolina jasmine sounds fine for the direct to lightly shaded areas. But it seems the garden specialist there might have given us false info as it appears the madagascar jasmine cannot handle heavy shade.
Can someone confirm this? I need to know so i can have the order canceled if so as i dont want to waste money on plants that are not suited to my needs and will die due to
not enough light.
also these plants will be getting sprinklers every morning for about 10-15 minutes like the rest of the plants i think they will be okay from what ive read on the watering.
thanks!
