Help me id this jasmine pls?

Hello,

I am new to GW. I just bought a huge jasmine vine on craigslist for $15. The seller didn't know what variety of jasmine it was. The plant is really tall (about 8 feet) and seems very healthy. Glossy foliage. It was kept exclusively indoors by the seller, and it has never bloomed for him. I suppose the lack of light and perhaps no fertilization did that. Anyway, I am looking forward to growing this gorgeous plant and would appreciate any id help. Also any tips would be appreciated. It will spend Spring/Summer/Fall on my patio, and back in the house in winter.

Hello Jasmine2009,

From the provided pictures, it looks like a Jasminum sambac to me. There are many different cultivars under this specific, so I would need to see a bloom before knowing the potential cultivar. I do have to say that it looks a lot like 'Grand Duke of Tuscany' but a flower would really help.

I agree, it is probably 'Grand Duke of Tuscany'. I have one and it looks exactly like yours. Below is a link to a picture of it's bloom so you can tell when yours blooms.
