I couldn't find the listing but this is the photo they had with it. The packing slip describes it as having a 4-6" dark pink flower with a white throat that grows 6-12'.They list it as a Japanese Morning Glory. The plant I received was about 3" including roots and very fragile. I put it in a small pot and put it outside in filtered sun. Do you think it's o k to have it outside while it's so small and delicate or should I keep it inside in my kitchen window until it's bigger? Thanks for any help you have.

The bloom as described by the merchant sounds like it should be an Ipomoea nil which would usually produce the size blooms in the product description.

The bloom is the photo you posted is Ipomoea purpurea cultivar "Crimson Rambler" and usually produces blooms of about 2.5 inches in diameter.

The photo may or may not represent what type of plant you actually received.

I could tell you what species you received as soon as the plant produces flower buds.

The plant may be safe outdoors as long as you have it supported and it won't get decimated by rain, sun, critters or anything else that is capable of doing damage to the plant.
