Wounded Wisteria Help please!

Today my husband had a mishap with the mower and slid into the trunk of my 7 year old tree wisteria (btw it is its first year to bloom!) I DO NOT want to lose this! I know wisteria has a reputation of being tough but I want to make sure I give it the best chances of recovery. Here is a link to some pics on photobucket. Thank you.

I looked at your pictures - it appears that just the bark is torn - it will heal and be fine - just let mother nature do her thing. Put up a barrier so this won't happen again.

I agree - I doubt that injury will slow it down at all!
