'Organic' trellis for honeysuckle

I just bought a honeysuckle vine (coral maybe?) and I will be placing it in a flower bed in front of our front porch. DH is opposed to the foliage actually latching onto the porch so I will try to trellis it a foot or so from the porches wooden elements. We have access to long branches and small trees; would it make sense to use one to make a natural trellis for the vines? Is this totally impractical? I'm also unsure if the top of a trellis should be wider than the base for honeysuckles, or should it be more like a pyramid. If anyone has instructions for building a nice organic-looking trellis, or some photos, I'd be grateful!
