Wisteria Cuttings Rooted - Will it Flower?

Hello,

I was thinking about growing wisteria from seed until I learned that it would be 10+ years before it would bloom. I was wondering if you rooted cuttings from a mature mother plant, would it bloom in the first or second year?

If so, is there anyone that would be willing to mail me cuttings? I would be willing to buy them. If rooting cuttings would essentially reset the clock on bloom time, can you recommend an equally beautiful, fast growing, hardy vine that can withstand the Tucson, AZ summer heat?

You can e-mail me at joeljwarne@gmail.com if you can offer some cuttings or if you have any other ideas. I'm growing bougainvillea but they're not as vigorous because the soil is so alkaline. (I'm constantly having to amend with coffee grounds and steer manure.)

I believe I am in zone 8a, lower valley desert. I am particularly interested in Japanese wisteria since its hardier.
