Vine Suggestions? More than One Type?

Hi, I'm in Zone 8B in California and I'm trying to figure out what kind of vine I could get to cover an ugly wooden fence in my yard. It's very big so I'm wondering if it is an option to buy more than 1 type of vine and put them side-by-side, or is that a bad idea? Any ideas on specific types?

Visit the clematis forum here on GW and do a search for fence in the search option near the bottom of the thread listings. It will give you ideas.
