the most common grape, in phx, is the thompson seedless grape... you may want to redirct this to the southwest gardening forum. good luck.

I suppose I'm a bit late in responding, but I planted two Thompson seedless plants 3 years ago and they're growing wondefully and are full of grapes as of this writing. I planted them to grow up and over a 20 foot long trellis, about 7' up and thus also serve to protect my other vegetables from the summer heat.
If it helps, I'm located in Phoenix, close to 36th. St and Cactus.

Plated Thompson seedless grapes 3 years ago. Last year insects destroyed crop. This year beautiful loaded with groups then all of a sudden they (the grapes) seemed to dry up - plants still very healthy. we water regularly - any ideas out there?
