newbie morning glory questions

I thought I'd try growing morning glory from seed for the first time. (Never had mg's before) So I bought the bio-dome from park seed; nicked, soaked then put one seed in each of the plugs. Within two days they started poking up; most are now about three inches tall with two leaves per stem. So, what do I do next? I can't put them on the front window sill because the dog ate four already. I've been putting them outside for a few hrs in the shade for the last two days. Is it too early to leave them out all day long? They are in jiffy pots right now. Should I plant them directly in the ground or put into containers? No frost in the forecast for the next week in my area. And should I water them every day? Thanks

All my MG's have been outside for a few weeks and a few have already started blooming. Some had been started inside a couple months ago, others were sowed inground after nicking & soaking. I'd get your MG's outside in the sun as soon as you're sure there's not going to be anymore frosts. I can't believe it's still getting that cold by you, brrrr! They need bright light to bloom. I have some in large containers and a bunch in the garden. I can put 3 MG's in a 14" (10 gal) pot. Keep them moist, not wet, until they get established then allow them to dry a little between waterings. They might look a little wilted during the hottest part of the day but should perk up once it cools down. If they don't perk back up by the am they need water. I use almost no fertilizer for my MG's. Feeding seems to promote foliage growth at the expense of blooms.

Phosphorus is bloom stimulating and will not cause excessive foliage...

The term fertlizer is actually a fuzzy term that can refer to a large number of different nutrients...

Here are some url's to where I previously shared on Morning Glories and different types of nutrients usually lumper under the term 'fertlizer'...

The combination of the various macronutrient NPK ratio(s) in conjuncntion with the various Minor Nutrients and Micronutrients can yield dramatically different results when selectively administered at different stages of the plants life cycle...
