Question for Ron re- Morning Glories

Ron,from previous posts I can tell that you are very knowledgable about Morning Glories.

This year I am trying some Chocolate M.G's and Picotee M.G's.The problem I am having is this, the seedlings are about an inch and a half to two inches in height and have set buds and have actually produced blooms in 2 of the plants.The plants do not seem to be getting any taller and I am stumped as to what to do next. Any suggestions would be most welcome.This is my second year trying these and I had the same results last time. (different batches of seeds)

The plants are flowering because the day lengths are short enough to trigger flowering that would usually occur after June 21st as the days get shorter...

You can try removing the flowers and flowerbuds and the plant may resume vegetative growth...snip off any flowerbuds until you are ready to have the plant bloom...

Ron, that theory makes a lot of sense now that I think about it.
I have snipped off the little flower buds, so fingers crossed I will eventually get Vines from these seedlings.
