Pruning/cutting back Moonflower vine?

I am growing Moonflowers in pots on my deck, and have them started growing up my 4ft. railing with twine. Should I pinch them when they get to the top, or train them to grow horiaontally? Do they need to reach a certain height to bloom well? Thanks! Wobur
