Starting morning glory vines from seed

I got good germination from the Heavenly Blue morning glory seeds I started, but the vines which are now 8"-10" long are very 'thin', - not sturdy. Should they be pinched off so that they 'bulk up'. Sorry for this description, but I cannot think how else to describe it, and I am short on time right now.

Are your vines outside in the sun? If so they should become sturdier. If not put them out in the sun. Some MG stems are normally quite thin but are capable of supporting themselves as they climb. I don't pinch my MG's but assume it would cause it to branch but don't know if it would make the stems any thicker.

I kept the plants in the house in a sunny location until the temps warmed up and then set them outside. This weekend I planted them in the ground. I left most of them 'as is', but a few I pinched back to see what they would do. I will post the results as they become available.
