Where to water established jasmine?

We have a hedge-row of well established jasmine growing along the fence in our back yard, and I'm just wondering where I should concentrate my watering? We have 5 of them planted at 3-4 ft intervals. Each Jasmine looks like 2 or 3 shoots came out of the ground and wound themselves together, forming one large knob that's about 4-6 inches in diameter. It's doing really well, so I guess we're getting the water where it needs to go, but I don't want to waste water.

Should direct the water at the base of each trunk, or in between each trunk?

Any established plants, they are unlikely to need supplemental water unless it's a serious drought. Hasn't S FL had a ton of rain this month?

Yes, I was also going to say that if it is established it shouldn't need watering.
