Basic Goldflame Honeysuckle Care

Hello,

Several weeks ago I purchased one of these at a local nursery and planted it in a large container on my porch. I honestly have no idea how to care for it and all the the information online line seems to concern pruning. I have a container gardener and I am mainly interested in just enjoying it for the season. Any tips will be greatly appreciated! :)
1. How often should it be watered?
2. After the blooms fall off should I cut off the little "honeycomb things" left behind? Deadheading? Will this encourage more blooms?
3. Some of the leaves are turing yellow and some buds are following off before blooming. Why?
4. Do I need to remove the bamboo and rubberbands that were used as support when I bought it at the nursery?
Thanks! Deb

1. Often enough to keep that pot moist on that site. Frequency will vary with weather conditions there.

2. Might as well leave the fruits for their own decorative interest.

3. Too wet or too dry. Might also inspect for mites.

4. Yes. Have replacement support in place beforehand, tie to that. Will need a frame for it to grow on.
