to pinch or not to pinch?

That's the question re vines I planted this weekend: Scarlet runner bean, Moonflower and morning glories (both Ipomoea unkown species/cultivar), and Passiflora caerulea (I'll check that forum too).

I want these vines to completely/thickly cover a fence- flowers (or beans) are less important than getting full fence coverage.

Will these vines put out multiple branches on their own? Or could I/ should I pinch back to get more stems?

I bought these as 4" or 6" potted plants and the stems are now 6 - 12" long, or even up to 24" in the case of scarlet runner bean.

Thanks for your help- I couldn't get the search function to work....
