how fast do mandavilla grow?

i have 2 madavilla vines i planted on my arbor over my sidewalk. i planted them in late april or early may. i know we have been in a drought here but i water them everynight and they seem to look very healthy but not growing very much. the tag on them says they are fast growing but i have seen any yet. lots of flowers and green leaves and vines but no growth. thanks

They will kick in and grow when it gets very hot and humid.

I had one that took off about the end of June and grew til frost. It only received afternoon sun, with it's feet in the shade.
