perennial sweet pea vine

Jaimie Gee

My Grandmother had this plant and I am lucky enough to be able to dig some out from her former home. Do these plants transplant well? Also, can I take a few cuttings and start them in water or a pot?
The original plants are too big right now to dig out. I don't want to risk ruining the whole vine. I am going to wait until Spring. I just was wondering if anyone out there can give me some tips.
Thanks
