| Hi,
I'm new to GardenWeb and this is my first post. There is a fairly unatractive barbed-wire fence right behind my house that I would like to cover with some sort of plant. The problem is that there are often cows that come right up to it so I need something that they won't eat (and that won't hurt them!). Does anyone know whether cows will eat ivy? If so, any suggestions on what I can plant that will cover the fence? Thanks very much everyone! |

| Yes, cows will eat ivy. I'm assuming this isn't your barbed wire fence... You might do better to consider a row of screening shrubs planted on your side leaving space so shrubs are out of their reach, or putting up a more attractive fence of your own your side of the barbed wire. |
