| If I grow a grapevine in a container on a balcony what about the roots development? I know that roots might be 15 metres long, but what if I "prune" the upper roots the same way as the branches in order to limit their growth? Or may be the roots won't grow too much in a confined space? |

| Not sure because mine are in the ground, but our Home Depot store had them this spring in 5 gallon pots with tall stakes, and they were all about 6' tall and they all had grapes. Mine in the ground take a lot of water, and I keep them only 4 1/2 feet high on trellises. They are wine grapes. I will watch this thread because I'd love to plant some additional wine grape vines in containers. More vine = more wine!! |
