Too Late To Plant?

Hi everyone,

I was in Wal-Mart the other day when I ran into our longtime friends/neighbors whom I gave a honeysuckle (L. japonica...*gasp* I know, bad gardener!) to last year. They asked me if I had anymore of it because it didn't survive the winter. I wanted to know if it was too late to plant another vine?

It's not too late. You should have at least till mid Oct for it to develop a good root system. Just make sure it's well watered until established.

I don't know if anyone around here's selling any honeysuckle at the moment, so maybe I'll have to wait until fall or even next year before I get one or if my neighbors get one.
