Winter Killing of Kudzu and Poison Oak

I have had some success with this. Has anyone else? In January usually, I wait until there is a week of forecast temps in the teens and 20s at night and the ground stays frozen for a few days. I am in northwestern foothills of North Carolina. I get on my trusty Massey Ferguson and bushhog all around the wooded area in front of my house which is mostly large poplars. The poison ivy stems, which I am extremely allergic to, pop off like toothpicks and it doesn't me to have a reaction. Of coarse, I'm wrapped up like a mummy because of the cold. The kudzu pops off pretty well also. Biggest problem is it wrapping around bushhog shaft. You have to take it slow and keep bushog high as you gradually drop it drop as you slowly crop up the kudzu. In the Spring I spray with Round Up. Gradually, I'm killing it off.
