virginia creeper issue

Hi all. My relatively new virginia creeper plant of 3-4 months has been doing swimmingly well. Recently however I noticed some of the leaves, instead of being a healthy dark green, are somewhat yellowed. I also noticed some of the leaves have spots on them. I don't see any obvious bugs though, or holes in the leaves.

Any ideas if these spots are an indication of a problem, or why some of the leaves are yellowish?

Yellowish spotty leaves might indicate it is too damp at the root. Or the yellowishness could indicate it has a nitrogen deficiency or is too dry at the root, the spots being unrelated.
