Chlorotic schisandra?

My 2 year old Schisandra chinensis leafed out this spring fairly yellow, and has just gotten worse and worse. Almost a little bit of white in these leaves.
Beside it, hops and honeysuckles are doing fine.
I haven't found any references suggesting they need a specific pH, so can't figure out what else it could be.
Planted in a moderate to bright spot with no direct mid day sun.
Decent yet sandy topsoil topdressed with wood chips and grass clippings.
Thanks for any ideas.
