Hi i live in illinois (zone 5) and I just got a 100 goji berry seeds. I am very anxious to plant but i know that if i grow them outside they will probably not survive this winter. So my question is can i start growing them inside this early in the year or will it stunt there growth? Is it to late to do it outside? And how long will the seeds be good for. If i decide to save them for next year is it okay?
Thanks! |

| According to Google, Lycium barbarum (a.k.a. goji berry or wolfberry) is hardy to -15 F. I would try 20 or so seeds now, sown directly in the ground. They should get big enough to survive Winter. But to be on the safe side, keep the rest for early Spring, start them indoors or wait until the weather heats up next year and plant then. Have you experienced the benefits of goji seed extracts? |
