John Clayton Vine

Not sure what is going on...I planted three JC Honeysuckle on a fence that gets sun most of the day. We have had a cooler summer than usual and pretty normal rainfall. However, one of the three vines looks like it is dying (yellow/dried up leaves). One of the others looked great...but now has a section that is also yellowing/browning. Don't know what is causing this...I planted three last fall and they all died over the winter. Could a sprinkler hitting the plant kill it? We haven't watered very much this summer...but it appears that the vine is getting water from the sprinkler system. Help!!
