Climbing vine for full sun?

Hi all! I was hoping you could help me with plant selection.

I have an area of my backyard that is a mish-mash of different/ugly fences. I want to cover them up with one type of plant for unity and to use as a backdrop for other plantings.

This area gets full sun and no irrigation (but of course will water to establish). I'm looking for either a shear-able hedge or a vine that can handle full sun.

I love climbing hydrangea but I don't think it would handle all that sun, and I was looking at northern bayberry but it isn't a hedge for shearing.

Any ideas? TIA!
