butterfly pea vine HELP???

I planted both blue and pink butterfly pea vine, clitorea vine and corkscrew vine seeds. I am not sure what came up because a storm mixed my nursery containers.

Now I have big ( almost 7 feet tall!) vines that are green, gorgeous and very healthy.

But NO flowers!

Can I cut down the vines to a more manageable height and overwinter them? I'd hate to lose these plants as I am out of all three seeds.

Don't know what to do here and any advice would be very much appreciated.

In my experience, vines seem to do better in blooming if fertilizer is withheld,after they get a good start.

I haven't ever fertilized them at all. I did add mucho compost when I was mixing the potting soil. Maybe its just too rich of a mix. I've tried stressing the plants by witholding water too.
Has anyone successfully cut down a vine and over-wintered them?
