We have New Dawn Rose on our Pergola and we just planted Arctic Beauty next to the rose. There is a lot of old wood from the roses on top and the sides of the Pergola. I was thinking this would give the Arctic Beauty something to cling onto with the old wood still on there.

Is this OK for these two to work together? I am really not looking to cut out all that old wood on the New Dawn. I have cut a lot of it out but there is still some on top of the Pergola. The Pergola is quite big. Thanks....
