Vinca vines....

I have a vinca I plan to winter over (hopefully!)& wonder if anyone else has done this successfully? I live in Mn., so maybe someone from this area has some tips. If it does make it through the winter, what kind of fertilizer should I use next spring? I haven't used any this year, just put it in potting soil.

You might also want to ask this over at the Houseplants forum.

If you're talking about either Vinca major or minor - keep them on the dryish side and add something like Osmocote slow release for spring - quite a small amount. Maybe half a teaspoon.

If you're thinking of the plant called 'vinca' but it has a different name then Houseplants people could probably help out.
