Coral Honey Suckle-Cut Back Or Not

I have an old honey suckle.This will be my 2nd year at the house.The bottom has gotten pretty bare. It is 6ft. x 6ft. growing on a fence.It is still growing & making flowers at the top.I have some new growth at the bottom.It likes to be kept watered daily. It is in full sun next to the pool. The Hummers love it.What do you think....Should I Cut It Back....Maybe to 4ft.

They bloom on new growth so you might want to wait until late winter when it's dormant to prune and get it bushy when it resprouts in spring. The hummers definitely do love it!
