Have Potato Vines

I am taking clippings of my potato vine plants to bring inside for next year. I have a green and a black potatoe vine. Both of them bloomed tremendous and over flowed their pots. They both made me look like an accomplished gardener, which I am far from right now.

Would someone like to trade either for another type of clipping or plant?

Does anyone know if PV can be overwinterize outside?

Not in zone 7. The first frost will kill it.

I read somewhere that you can save the potato and start them up again in the spring.

Yes, you can dig and overwinter the tubers and replant in the spring. Done it here in NC zone 7a several years ago. Treat them like dahlia tubers.

You can also dig them and eat them!

I did dig one up and cook it, but it was definately not as tastey as store bought. It could do in a pinch.

Is is easier to start from tubular or cuttings?
