Vines for West Facing Fence

I have a redwood fence with lattice on top that I would like to grow vines on. The fence turns a corner and the south-facing side gets dappled shade all day because of an oak tree above it, but the west facing side gets full or dappled shade until about 2pm and then it gets hot sun until evening. This picture was taken a little after 1pm.

I'd like to cover the fence with trumpet vines, either Campsis radicans or Distictis buccinatoria, but I'm want to be sure that they would like the location. Would either or both like this spot? Which would be more likely to do better? I see vines like these around town a lot so I know that they can do well in this climate, I'm just not sure that they will like this exposure. If they won't do well, which vines would you recommend instead? I was also considering planting honeysuckle for the fragrance, would honeysuckle and trumpet vines make good companions? Or would they totally overwhelm the space and be a nightmare?

Please help!
