Hi, I have some dried bamboo poles I plan to use for wild grape supports. I have plans for a "teepee" and my bamboo is fairly thick as far as bamboo goes. Will this be sturdy enough to support some wild grape vines?

For a while, but once they get a couple of years old, no - grapevines get stems as big as one's wrist, and they are very heavy - you'd be better off to make your teepees out of heavy metal poles.

Has anyone ever used chicken wire to put on a fence to support morning glories? I live in Texas and this is an annual and seems like the chicken wire would be easy to remove in the winter months. Thanks

Hi Jeri, I'm also in Texas and have used chicken wire for support for annual vines. It works pretty good, but I've found that the 2" openings is a lot better than the wire with 1" openings. Jim
