Those are pretty. I think number 4 is my fav. I am not totally sold on jap mg. They seem here not to produce a lot of flowers. I dont know if it was the year or what. I will try them again next year and see if they behave differently. Those are very pretty.....Barb

Audrey those are beautiful. I really like #4 as well. It's different. Please let me know what the name is when you find it. I love JMG's. They usually come on later in the season for me and some bloom more then others but the colors and even the foliage is so nice. My only complaint is that some don't produce seeds without help, if at all.

how does one 'help' a JMG to produce seeds? I think that is one of my problems.

Thanks, everybody, for your comments. I do keep a list of the order in which I plant the morning glories, though it doesn't always help, as they inter-twine so much. But I think their identities are probably as follows:
1. Akatsuki No Umi
2. Good Morning Violet
3. Seiryu
4. Raiko
5. Benigasuri.

I'm also inserting a couple more photos below. The first is the only relatively good bloom I've had from Kanoko. (It usually doesn't open properly.) And the second is Yuuzuki (though it looks about the same as Chocolate).

Thanks for the list of names. Your Kanoko is beautiful as well. I had some JMG's putting out deformed blooms early in the season. Some of the deformed blooms were nicer then the normal ones! lol I've really been happy with Akatsuki No Umi. Even though it took a while to start blooming the flowers last such a long time for a MG.
