Strange Vine

Can any one please identify this vine?

It is growing in my yard, and no one can tell me what it is.

This is a sort of big seed, it is solid yellow white on the inside, like a potato. It has just about the same size, and it smells kind of like a potato when cut.

Hope someone can help.
