| At my previous home in Zone 6 I used pyracantha against a house wall as an espalier. It's an evergreen shrub, not a vine. In the spring it has white flowers and in the fall beautiful reddish-orange berries. The foliage is glossy. It does have thorns, however so, in keeping it pruned in the desired pattern, one usually endures several thorn stabs. - June |
