Jade vine growing conditions

Hi all,

Before I ask my question i'd like to say that this site is great and very helpful providing a lot of useful information for beginners and seasoned growers alike!

There seems to be a lot of knowledge on how to grow jade vine floating around so I was wondering if someone could assist me with a query I have about growing mine.

Last year I bought a very small plant from a friend of mine who lives in Durban (South Africa)

I live in Swaziland, which is also in South Africa, but the climate is very different.

In winter the temperatures here go as low as 2 degrees centigrade for short spells (during night time only)

and during the day they average around 10 degrees centegrades.

Summers are very hot with temps from 10 - 40 degrees centigrade.

I would like to plant my vine outside, as it is now rapidly turning my living room into a jungle :-)

my concern is that it will not withstand the cold winter temps.

Should I risk planting it? If not is it possible to train for indoor keeping?

P.S.

the flowers on this plant are yellow ( I have seen the mother plant bloom)could it be a hybrid or just a very pale color variation?

Any advice greatly appreciated

thanks and regards

Nadja
