Here is a pic of a pod, it should look similar-

They will turn brown and split open, looking like an upside-down parachute. The brown, papery seeds will spill out. It might be a good idea to keep an eye on them and pick as soon as they dry or put a bag around them.

If you keep an eye on them you should be able to pick the seed pod when it first starts to split. Just take it inside and allow it to open completely. Each pod contains so many seeds that you'll have enough even if more then half fall out before you get to it.
