Vines reaching top of trellis?

Marxbro

Hi, New to gardening and particularly vines and I've got a question...I am growing a mandevilla plant up the left side of a 10 foot tall 4 foot wide metal archway in the garden, I am also growing confederate jasmine up the right side of the archway. The first couple of vines of each plant have just reached the top of the arch with others close behind. My question is, what happens now that they are at the top? Do I train them to grow back down? Do I just weave them back and forth like a typewriter? There's really no place for them to go once they reach the top so I just don't know what to do.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks.
