| Hi everyone,
I got my cup and saucer vine seeds today in the mail from Summer Hill Seeds! I got both the purple and the white variety. Now the long wait until spring....*sigh*

Brad have you ever grown them before? I am wondering how they will do in your zone...(same as mine) I love them and I am in a co-op for Summer Hill seeds and may order them.

I had mine in a container this year. The vines were at least 15' but no blooms. This is the second year that I've tried them with the same results. I cut back the vine and put it in the greenhouse. I also kept a few cuttings that I'm trying to root. Maybe I can get them to bloom next season if they make it over the winter.

Ronnie, no I haven't grown these before. I'm very excited about them. I'm planning to grow them with morning glories and moonflowers next year. Honeysuckle (in a container; possibly Goldflame or one of the periclymenums) will be growing alongside them as well. Good idea or no? Karyn, I hope your cuttings root and flower for you! I have two houseplant books that list it growing indoors. Brad AKA Moonwolf

Brad that sounds like it will be real nice next season. Maybe I will order some and give them a head start in the house. They are so nice!! Karyn, did you start yours from seed? If so when did you start them?

I started mine from seed in the greenhouse either late winter or early spring. They germinated quickly and were a good size by the time they went out in the spring. I really thought I'd get flowers this year. I had them growing with some MG and passiflora vines so maybe they didn't get enough sun? The cuttings don't look like they're going to make it. Hopefully the plant will. If not I'll start more seeds and allow it to grow on it's own.

Thanks Karyn, I think I might give them a try and start them after the Holidays.
