Asarina vines

I grew some asarina vines from seeds several years ago.
One vine bloomed in 2011 and that's it. It was watered often in part shade, which is where they normally are.
I'll give them one more summer to bloom and that's it.
Maybe I'm not doing something that they need.
Any suggestions.

I grew Asarina scandens 'Joan Lorraine' a few years ago. It grew well in Delawarean open sun conditions and was pollinated nicely by solitary bees. I recall this species of bee was quite territorial, fending off other insect visitors with much vigor. It was kinda fun to watch the show.
